If you'd like to forward a domain name that you have to some other domain name or subdomain, a good way to do this would be to use a CNAME record. By creating such a record, the domain address being forwarded loses all its records (A, MX, and so on) and instead, it takes the A record of the domain name it's directed to. This way, if you use a web design service by some provider that gives you a subdomain, you can use an actual domain and not only will it be directed to the site that you have created, but it'll also be displayed in the browser address bar at all times. Alternative possible uses of a CNAME record are to direct all the visitors from different subdomains to their main domain name, or to use the webmail service of your hosting provider by using webmail.your-doman.com, for example. The latter will work only by creating a CNAME record for a subdomain since such a record created for the main domain name makes it impossible to use email addresses.

CNAME Records in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The Hepsia hosting Control Panel, which comes with every one of our semi-dedicated server accounts, will permit you to create a CNAME record without difficulty. If you want to create a private URL for your emails, to redirect a domain address to a subdomain within the account or to forward a domain to another company and use some third-party service that they provide, it will not take you more than 3 clicks to create this type of record. All DNS records for the domains and subdomains hosted inside the semi-dedicated account will be listed in a separate section in the CP, so once you're there, all you will have to do will be to pick the type of the record that you want to create and the hostname for which you are creating it, and then type in the actual record text. For your convenience, you can see a short video inside the CP regarding how to create a CNAME record or you can follow the instructions in the help article, that's available in the DNS records section.
