A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a specific e-mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise put, if you delete an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any miswritten address under the same domain, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you run some business, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk email messages, you can combine the catch-all option with anti-spam filters in order to receive only real emails in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you have a shared website hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any email mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a lot of functions, but it is very simple to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes just one single mouse click. All the email addresses that you have set up will be displayed in this section alphabetically and you’ll simply have to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the respective address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or pick a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes yet another click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be configured with several mouse clicks in case you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with our company. The semi-dedicated account will be administered via our custom Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to create email addresses using any domain name registered there. To activate the catch-all option for a given mailbox, you will have to click the logo with the same name, which will be to the right of each email address. Deactivating this option can be done in the exact same manner and will not require more than one click either. In case a catch-all mailbox has already been enabled for a particular domain name, you will get a warning note. The same is valid if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never edit or deactivate any feature automatically.
