Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Established in 2001, the Dot NAME universal TLD is the only one supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other labels people are known by. Initially, only 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to order john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Existing 3rd-level domains remained working.

Through our company, you can obtain your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to alter the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer code from the current domain registrar and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finished. There are no specific regulations on who can acquire a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the goal behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
